2013Triumphant FACES Gala -- February 22, 2013
Make plans to join us on Friday, February 22, 2013 for the Triumphant FACES Gala celebrating Excelsior's 40th Anniversary. The fabulous fundraising event takes place at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center and benefits Excelsior Youth Center.
Enjoy cocktails and live entertainment as you browse a fabulous silent auction before sitting down to dinner and a special live private performance by The Pointer Sisters, who are also celebrating their 40th anniversary. At the gala we will also honor our 2013 Triumphant Woman -- Susan Kiely who has overcome personal hardship and adversity to achieve success.

We are excited this year to offer the TIP (Ticket Installment Plan) program so that you can purchase your tickets to the Gala in monthly installments from now to the event in February. Breakfast with the Girls
Excelsior Youth Center was honored to have Jeannie Ritter host our Breakfast with the Girls on June 16th! She shared our message of hope and triumph. Our Culinary Arts students, dressed in their whites, catered and served our guests breakfast at our beautiful Teen Center and Pool. All donations supported Excelsior's Aftercare Program that provides valuable services for former students who need 'safety net' emergency services while transitioning to self sufficiency. Some of the guests included Board Members Mary Shay and Lois Paul, as well as Marti Awad, Dana Berry, Jill Farquhar, Aquilla McKnight, Jocelyn Murphy, and Laura Wegscheid .

SPLASH Party
Thank you to everyone who SPLASHED into summer with Missy Franklin, world class swimmer, Regis Jesuit sophomore and GIRLS GIVING spokes girl at our SPLASH party on June 7th! We received toys and games to stock the pool for the summer AND flip flops and swim suits for each girl!

Passport Party
The Passport Party: Taste, Travel, Triumph benefitting Excelsior Youth Center took place tonight at the Palazzo Verdi in Greenwood Village. Rhonda Vickers, served as this year's Honorary Chair. The event's co-chairs were Heather Weldon and Jennifer Williams, publisher of Colorado Homes & Lifestyles magazine. Alan Gionet, morning anchor for CBS News Morning Show, emceed the event.
This year's theme featured international food and travel excursions in the live auction and Southwest Airlines employees greeted guests upon arrival.
At the Gala, Excelsior honored three triumphant women for overcoming significant challenges to achieve successful careers. The women include: Colorado Representative Cindy Acree, Ryta Sondergard and Rebecca Bell, former Excelsior student.
