From Tragedy to Triumph

We are Excelsior Youth Center. We offer a home where girls can be truly safe, where structure means safety, and where discipline results in development. We transform young lives, directing and guiding them from a past of tragedy to a future full of possibility and, ultimately, triumph.

Excelsior Youth Center is a residential treatment program established in 1973, serving girls between the ages of 11-18 with emotional and behavior difficulties. We are committed to the treatment and education of these young women and strive to enhance their successful reintegration into their families and their communities.

For Families
Excelsior has been serving young women both locally and across the nation for nearly 40 years, treating more than 4,000 girls with tremendous success. Excelsior provides a safe environment, expert staff, and individualized care to help girls access the tools they need to transition back to their families and communities and accomplish their goals.

For Placing Agencies
Implementing strength-based care and gender-specific programming, Excelsior offers flexible options within a continuum of care designed to meet the specific and unique needs of each girl. Referrals are accepted from county human services agencies, school districts, juvenile courts, mental health organizations, adoption agencies and families placing privately by contacting the Admissions Department at Excelsior.
